Signal by Sprint Mode is team behavioral intelligence. When a workspace admin installs the Signal Slack app, Signal reads activity metadata to surface behavioral shifts — changes in responsiveness, participation, and schedule patterns — before they become problems. There is no device software, no screenshots, and no keystroke capture. Signal connects to Slack the same way any workspace app does: OAuth, installed once by an admin, removable at any time.
Signal requests the minimum Slack OAuth scopes needed to do its job:

Signal does not request direct message scopes. DM content and DM metadata are not read, not requested, and not part of any Signal analysis.
From the channels Signal can see, we extract metadata only: message timestamps, channel and thread activity counts, response latency, participation patterns, and activity-hour distributions. This is the data behind every Signal metric.
Message content is encrypted on receipt, used only to extract that metadata in-flight, then discarded. Message text is never written to our databases, never used to train models, and never visible to anyone — including your own admins — through any Signal surface.
We do not sell your data. We do not share Slack-derived data with third parties except the infrastructure providers that run the Signal service, under contracts that prohibit any other use. Slack-derived data is used solely to provide Signal to your workspace.
